RULES:

  1. Advance written agreement/approval required prior to any sales.

  2. Food Vendors ARE responsible for acquiring ALL necessary permits from City and County agencies and ensuring the Unity Rally chairperson receives a copy of PERMITS prior to November 30, 2007.

  3. Vendors are responsible for acquiring LIABILITY INSURANCE for the event.

  4. Vendors are required to have an INSURANCE RIDER (Certificate of Liability Insurance) for their participation. Ensure the City and County of Honolulu and the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Coalition-Hawaii are on the flyer as co-insurers.

  5. Twenty-five percent (25%) of proceeds will be donated to the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Coalition-Hawaii upon final cash out at Kapiolani Park. The donations will be used to offset the expenses occurred for the event (i.e., police rubbish cleanup, insurance, etc.).

  6. Vendors are required to to completely set up and ready for business by 10:30am, January 23rd, 2008. Reserved parking will be made available to vendors beginning 6:30am, January, 21st, 2008 -- the day of the event.

  7. ABSOLUTELY NO CASH TRANSACTIONS between vendors and customers are AUTHORIZED. Violations will be considered donations and will be forfeited to the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Coalition-Hawaii.

  8. Vendors are required to sign-in with the Cashier's table beginning at 8:00am. At this time, vendors can receive an advance in scrip to conduct business.

  9. Vendors are responsible for the cleanliness of their areas during the Unity Rally and up to one(1) hour after the activities have concluded.

  10. Vendors are required to complete and fax the registration/contract along with insurance rider and permit (if applicable) to 808-988-1777 on or before November 30, 2007.

  11. Prior approval is required for all participating vendors.

  12. Non-food vendors selling items are advised that items they are selling are to represent the theme of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., holiday celebration.

  13. Please notify the Chairperson of any discrepancies. The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Coalition-Hawaii reserves the right to change these rules without prior notice.
